The guy who answers the phone is the guy in the trench
Shuksan Septic Installers is Sam Jensen's company, run out of Maple Falls in the Mount Baker foothills. Sam is the owner, the operator and the person you talk to when you call. There is no sales layer between you and the work.
The company is a licensed onsite sewage system installer, listed on the installer rosters kept by Whatcom County Health and Community Services and Skagit County Public Health. Those rosters exist so homeowners can check who is actually authorized to build septic systems in their county. We encourage you to look us up.
Sam's approach shows in the photos across this site, all of which come from real Shuksan jobs: tidy trenches with clean sidewalls, laser-shot grades, risers stacked to finished grade with the teal lids that have become something of a company signature, and compact Yanmar excavators that get into tight forested lots without wrecking them.
You will probably also meet the dog. The brown and white Aussie shepherd rides along to most jobsites and takes site supervision seriously, mostly from a comfortable spot at the edge of the work.
